Prayers

Sean takes his Nurse Practitioner Licensing Exam at 9:00am tomorrow (Thursday). If you get a chance, please say a prayer for him. Specifically:

1. For calm nerves
2. For clear thinking
3. That he passes!

What do you think of the new look?

Do you like the darker or lighter background better?

Sprint to the finish

My Action Research Project (equivalent to my thesis) is due tomorrow. I have two more assignments due for my other class next week then I am finished with my graduate degree! I have had absolutely no motivation to work on my graduate school work since Cooper has been born. Proof: I am working on my thesis today (normally I would have had it done weeks ago) and writing this blog instead of typing my paper.

What in the world have we been up to?

The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind! We have had sweet family time driving down to Florida for the Giese family reunion with Aaron and Rachel (doing some site seeing and stamping on the way to and from), enjoying time with the extended Giese family, then traveling home to Waynesville for some time with my family (Folkmoot parade and a birthday party). Sorry I did not manage to get pictures of everyone but enjoy the pics that I do have!

You're my sister, you're my friend...

Check out Rachel's blog for some really exciting news: Rachel

And the winner is...

This morning, Sean accepted a job as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Forsyth Comprehensive Neurology. He will be working Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 with one weekend per month and some call. He will spend three weeks doing inpatient care at Forsyth Hospital and one week doing clinic at their offices per month. He was also very seriously considering a NP night position in the unit he works at as a nurse currently so the fact that this job worked out is a HUGE blessing (especially for me). Day jobs just make our lives seem more normal.

Right now, we're looking at a start date of September because of his boards. He sent the paperwork off at the earliest possible date after graduation that he could but it takes 6-8 weeks for processing, then he has to schedule a date, then he has to wait for the results....yada, yada. Just to let you know where we are in the process, we're still waiting for his paperwork to be processed. He called a couple of weeks ago because they've cashed the check, but they said that they're still processing!

HUGE praise today though of God's provision of a new job!

Happy Fourth of July!

Thanks to all of the men and women who sacrifice to ensure our freedom daily.

We just got back from the fireworks. It does not bode well for us that Cooper enjoyed lots of flashing lights and noisy booms.

Kickin' Bobbin' Gym

Yes, that is really the name of this thing. Press play to see how much Cooper LOVES it!
